In desperate need of a makeover. It's very dated, bathroom was grubby and should have a deep cleanse. Bath/shower is a joke, boiling one minute and freezing the next. I think The Hotel Inspector will have a field day in this place. I have given three stars because, despite of the state of the place the staff are great. Greeted with a smile and pointed me in the right direction for some evening food.
Very friendly staff who took time to make sure we were happy with the room allocated to us which was fine but on the first floor and no lifts available so swapped it for a ground floor room without any hesitation. Very clean and well equipped and extremely nice breakfast served in the morning which was included in the cost of ghe room .
First time at Corbyn Head Hotel. We had a good weekend in Torquay and it wasn't spoiled by our hotel accommodation. Nice friendly staff too. We asked for a room change when we arrived there. The rear of the. Hotel has a rail line near by, and the room was a bit dark. No problem for us to move. Well worth the change much nicer and brighter too. Excellent value for money. Only 3star but our breakfast was 5star. They need to keep that chef. Great presentation and cleanliness in dining room. Overall a good Hotel.
The staff and food were excellent.The room we had was needing some minor cleaning and updating in the bathroom.Overall very good value for money.We will return in October and hope for a better room and bathroom but hope the staff and food remain of the same high standard.Good not to have to select your own breakfast but have it ordered and brought to the table, most unusual these days.
